The Story

A Culinary Celebration of Garifuna Culture

This dinner honors one of Roatán's most meaningful cultural legacies through a carefully curated evening at Luna Muna.

The experience is inspired by the flavors, techniques, ingredients, and traditions of the Garifuna community, brought to life through a collaboration between Luna Muna and Doña Alba from Punta Gorda.

Rather than simply presenting a menu, the evening invites guests to experience a story — one shaped by fire, coconut, cassava, plantain, seafood, music, memory, and the Caribbean coast.

The Collaboration

From Punta Gorda to Luna Muna

Punta Gorda is one of the most important Garifuna communities in Roatán, where food, music, language, dance, and community continue to preserve a living cultural identity.

This collaboration began as a way to bring that inspiration closer to the table, connecting traditional Garifuna cooking with Luna Muna's refined oceanfront dining experience.

For one special evening, Doña Alba brings part of her culinary heritage to Ibagari, alongside Chef Alex Flores and the Luna Muna team.
