Natural, stylish, luxury accommodations, LOVE

This is one of the coolest places I've every stayed, globally. It's small enough that its not crowded at all, and its so incredibly stylish and beautifully designed while being authentic to its environment. Sergio, Kathryn and the rest of the staff are kind, accommodating, friendly and wonderful. My husband and i travel a ton, and can get a bit picky about hotels, especially when it comes to customer service, food, cleanliness and operations. this place excels in all categories. Their beach isn't the most amazing in Roatan but it didn't effect our stay at all. We were there for diving so we got our fill out on the open water. We dined at their restaurant several times and it was great quality food. Its often hard to eat healthy and fresh food while traveling but not at Ibagari. We were so happy there that when it was time to leave, we extended our stay by three days! The hotel was very accommodating and we were thrilled to stay a bit longer. Highly recommend.

Paradise!!

March 10, 2020

My family and I (two female tweens and husband) were fortunate enough to stay at Ibagari for 6 nights. It is THE place to stay - nothing else in the area comes close (I repeat: NOTHING in the area comes close - I did explore the competition while here). The property is beautifully laid out with no detail spared in terms of design, artwork, lighting, etc. Sergio and Catherine and their team go out of their way to ensure all of your needs are met and even anticipated. With only 8 rooms in total, you often get the sense that the staff outnumber the guests. The location is a fantastic base from which to walk over to West Bay for some snorkelling, take in the crazy people watching and then come back to this beautiful zen oasis. Afternoons can be spent taking advantage of the complimentary paddle boards and kayaks or simply enjoying the (often empty) infinity pool and hot tub overlooking the beach or the beach itself. The restaurant is open to the public (and is the BEST in the area - bar none) and so guests from other hotels will come treat themselves to a drink or a meal. Why not treat yourself to a stay here? You will be so incredibly happy you did!!! Thank you Team Ibagari!!!

Pure Joy to Our Vacation

March 10, 2020

This was our 2nd time to visit this island for vacation, and 1st time to Ibagari. It’s a pure joy. Your art gallery like boutique hotel, your amazing architecture of Luna Muna , your delicious gourmet food, your professional diving centre, your excellent view of this location...... the most of all, your people really impressed us. The housekeepers were efficient and effective. Your diving instructors and captains were so warm and professional. Your Luna Muna staffs were professional and full of sense of humor. Sergio and Sarah (hope I remember you name right), your client service were professional , efficient and effective. We love you guys

Perfection

We stayed at Ibagari for the first part of our second trip to Roatan. We had visited the hotel for dinner (twice--the food and service is amazing) on our previous trip to the island and were anxious to stay in the hotel. We decided we would stay a couple of nights at Ibagari and then move to West Bay with closer access to the reef and snorkeling. The worst mistake we made during this trip to Roatan was to leave Ibagari! Nothing against the next place, but after Ibagari anything would be a let down. They picked us up at the airport with no problem. When we located the driver, he immediately went to get the van, there was no waiting around. He offered us beer for the ride and we made it to the hotel within a half an hour, where Sergio and fresh cocktails greeted us. We were told that there was an unfortunate mishap and a pipe had burst in our ocean front room and we would have another room--the only one without a view of the sea. While disappointing, the room we received was incredibly nice and had a large, covered, beautifully furnished private patio to enjoy. The staff felt terrible about the switch; everyone apologized and they went out of their way to make it up to us. The whole place is so beautiful and peaceful. There is a true attention to detail and service. The staff are so friendly, and it helps that there are so few rooms here. Even when it's full, it is not crowded. Breakfast was made to order and fresh. It is as good as I would imagine given the outstanding dinners we have had. Hands down, Ibagari makes the best cocktails on the island, they are unique and a departure from the frozen "tropical" drinks of West Bay (though they have those too--and they are much better in quality!). We came back for dinner our last night in Roatan and I could feel myself relax more when I stepped off the water taxi. If we return to Roatan, we will not repeat our mistake; Ibagari is the only place we will stay.

Perfect Trip!

My wife and I stayed here for our honeymoon in February and it was such an unbelievable experience. From the moment we arrived, we knew we were in excellent hands. The hotel managers, Sergio and Lourdes were there to greet us and made themselves available to assist us at any point during our weeklong stay. The room itself was immaculate - super comfortable, beautifully designed and it was serviced twice a day. The food at Luna Muna was perfect. You cannot choose a bad meal! The service staff are INCREDIBLE. They prepared a special dining experience for my wife on her birthday which we will never forget. Ingrid, Marlon, Daniel, Suby, Osman, Dennis... EVERY staff member went above and beyond to make our experience special. Our favourite part was taking the daily mixology class with head bartender Jessy. He is really talented and is so obviously passionate about his work, you can taste it in every drink! We cannot say enough great things about the hospitality here. Finally, the whole team at Duna Divers, the on-site dive center was wonderful. Lukas, Sierra and Francesca were lovely and really helped my wife and I get back in the water with ease after several years without scuba diving. They will do whatever they can to make your vacation special and offer lots of great excursions. This is the most beautiful hotel we have ever stayed at and we cannot wait to return!

A gem located away from the crowds in Roatan

I just returned from Roatan and I stayed a few nights at Ibagari and I am still dreaming about it. Service: is impeccable and everyone is so friendly. Hotel: every detail was thought out with the design of this hotel. Everywhere you turn there there is something that makes you go ‘ wow what a great idea’ Art: you are walking through an art gallery every day. It’s all just stunning! Food: absolutely fabulous, every meal was spectacular. Drinks: excellent cocktails I enjoyed poolside and watching the sunset. I can’t say enough about how amazing this hotel is. If you want to check out west bay or west end you are 10 min walk along the beach in either direction. I can’t wait to return.
