PADI, in the same small groups as the fun dives. We are a small center: start dates depend on who is diving that week — a course can run for one person when an instructor is free, and needs two when we bring one in. Ask, and we tell you the next date.

Wall · Crevice
Mary's Place
The island's most famous dive: a narrow crack cut through the reef wall. Glassy sweepers in the shadows, seahorses and flamingo tongues on the walls.

Mr. Bud
A shrimp boat sitting upright on the sand in eighteen metres, its bow over the edge of the wall — small enough to see whole.

Wall · Drift
West End Wall
The signature wall of the west tip: the reef starts at six metres and drops into blue, hung with sea fans and barrel sponges. Turtles and eagle rays ride the current with you.

Wreck
El Aguila
A 70-metre cargo ship sunk as a reef in 1997 and broken into three by Hurricane Mitch. Large groupers patrol the holds.

Shallow caverns and swim-throughs lit from above, silversides sparkling in the openings.

Night Dives
Shortly after sunset, on the reef in front of the hotel. Octopus, morays out hunting, bioluminescence when you cover your torch.

Seamounts
Pinnacles of rock rising from deep blue between Roatan and Cayos Cochinos, circled by jacks, snapper and barracuda. A deep dive with current, for advanced divers only.
